The artistic directors

Mariachiara Michieli

Mariachiara Michieli, italian dancer and choreographer, founded and leadered the Tangueros since their early years. In Buenos Aires, she was pupil of the three greatest Masters and Creators of Modern Tango: Pepito Avellaneda, Miguel Balmaceda and Antonio Todaro. In 1991, she established with Alejandro Aquino an artistic pair that was a legend in its time, and still is. In 1996, she founded the NCT on a personal and innovative choreographic concept. In addition to the six shows in the Company's repertoire, she created also Tango choreographies for numberless professional dancers. As a teacher, she gave lessons and masterclasses all over the world. Since 2002 she's living in Milano, which is now the NCT and Tangueros School's home.
